Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management™ Curriculum Training Intensive (CTI) Online
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Classes allow focused study of the content of the MBCPM course using the trademarked curriculum. The 3 modules of the course are experienced and showcased: 1) Building resilience strategies; creating a safe space; 2) Developing self-awareness and self care; 3) Exploring innate behaviours and relationships with self and others. And exploring impact of illness and pain on core self through contemplative creativity. One class will be in silence.
The connection to pain becomes evident as the course unfolds. Key topics and core concepts are explored from the perspective of a vulnerable, in-pain, and/or chronically stressed population. The languaging of delivery of the facilitation and enquiry is noted and practiced, with some opportunity to practice delivery of formal practices. Trauma-informed (TI) and Trauma-sensitive (TS) facilitation is emphasized. TI is discerned and discussed at a deeper level during Curriculum Implementation and Development (CID 3503) online
PREREQUISITE(S): This course is aimed at professionals with a mindfulness practice and an interest in facilitating the course for chronic pain and/or stress sufferers or implementing strategies into their own work with pain sufferers. A degree in a biological/clinical/counselling discipline is an asset.
This works toward the requirements for the Applied Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM™) Facilitation
