This workbook can accompany the Entry level (level 1) or Revision level (Level 2) MBCPM™ courses, and was published by NNC in January 2015,
in response to alumni requesting extra materials support when doing the Revision course.
Feedback from them after using this workbook during level 2 courses informed us that it would be useful at the level 1 course too, and some facilitators are now using it for level 1 along with “The Mindfulness Solution to Pain” and the course CDs/meditation downloads. It contains exercises that re-enforce the learning, allows less note taking—something we find our chronic pain sufferers love to do, but which may interfere with listening/percolating—and expands on some experiential activities such as Mindful Eating.
An added bonus is that it has opened up the possibility of providing 1:1 training for those homebound but with the means to fund a facilitator who will coach them as they work through the course with the workbook and course materials. While not as beneficial as working within the group setting, which enriches the experience, it provides a compromise when group work is not available to them.
