• Daily Meditation Practice

    Engaging with a 20 minute meditation practice. Choosing perhaps a combination of sitting and walking (if it feels comfortable). If this activity level is not possible, trying a longer sitting meditation practice instead.


    Weekly readings are taken from “The Mindfulness Solution to Pain” book.

    Chapter 6 – “Searching the Brain for Clues to Pain: Turning on That Flashlight” (pages 56 – 76)

    Note: For some, this chapter relating to stress can be difficult to read. Notice what may be arising as you work through it, and perhaps choose to pace yourself – reading it gradually throughout the week.

    Weekly Activities

    Taking time this week to think about how stressful situations influence how your body feels. Asking yourself the question “Where do I feel stress in my body?

    Make note of these observations so we can discuss connections between emotional stress, and mind-body reactions, in our next class.
